I spent the last few years in government—first as a Senior Advisor at USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance then as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary of Defense. Before that, I was at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where I focused on migration, conflict, climate change, and how technology is reshaping these global challenges. I still hold an affiliation with CSIS's
Futures Lab
which embraces data science, AI/ML, and alternative analysis to revolutionize policy-driven research.
I've worked in conflict zones across Iraq, Afghanistan, South Sudan, and Ethiopia, spent time on multiple presidential campaigns, and taught graduate students about global fragility at Syracuse's Maxwell School.
